Certified In: The Process Triage

This June I spent two days earning my certification in Process Fixer, and I walked away with more than a credential.

The Process Fixer is a process mapping and triage methodology, a structured way to help teams find what's actually broken in how they work and fix it together. The certification covers both the framework itself and the facilitation skills to deliver it well: running the room, guiding the hard conversations, and pulling the right information out of a group.

Here's why it caught my attention. So much of hiring well comes down to the systems underneath it: the handoffs, the approvals, the steps nobody documented but everyone follows anyway. Most teams are running on processes no one has looked at closely in years, and it quietly costs them good candidates and good hires. Being able to sit with a client and map that live, then diagnose where it's breaking down, is a skill I've wanted in my toolkit for a while.

It also fits how I think about building anything worthwhile: with intention, and with a genuine interest in making the work visible instead of assuming it's fine. A team can't improve what it's never stopped to actually look at.

You can't fix what you can't see. If your team is feeling friction it can't quite name, this framework is worth a look.
